Summer Internship: Quality Management & Product Assembly

Location: The ArtVend & Page’s Peaches Warehouse, 108 Pine Park Dr, Lafayette, LA 70509
Compensation: $11/hour
Hours: 20-30 hours per week (M-F, hours slightly flexible)

The ArtVend and Page’s Peaches are looking for 1-2 dedicated interns to join our team this summer! The ArtVend specializes in small tabletop vending machines designed for artists and small businesses. Page’s Peaches, our sister company, is a queer art and accessories brand known for bold, explicit, and unapologetically creative designs.

We are a small but passionate team of three based in Lafayette, Louisiana, committed to delivering high-quality products and outstanding service to our customers. Our warehouse is a welcoming and vibrant space that celebrates queerness and creativity. Applicants must be comfortable in a very queer environment and working with our explicit and edgy artwork.

About the Role

This internship focuses on Quality Management and Product Assembly but offers opportunities for growth based on your interests. Primary responsibilities include:

• Ensuring quality standards are met for all products.
• Assembling products with attention to detail.
• Assisting with truck deliveries, package handling, and sorting using pallet jacks and PIT equipment (where applicable).
• Supporting fulfillment operations, including picking, pulling, and packing products to complete customer orders accurately.
• Identifying and addressing defective items based on provided descriptions.

Additionally, interns can explore areas like marketing, sourcing, content creation, overseas manufacturing, product design, and small business operations. The role is flexible to your interests, allowing you to gain experience in various aspects of running a small e-commerce business.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years of age.
• Current or rising college junior/senior, or recent graduate.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and retrieve materials from shelves and floor stacks (reasonable accommodations available).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for hands-on work, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to representing our brands with care.
• Basic computer skills required; experience with Adobe Illustrator and Creative Cloud Suite is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to learn and assist across departments.
• A love for independence, creativity, and continuous learning.
• Alignment with the mission and values of The ArtVend and Page’s Peaches.

Internship Details

• Start Date: May 2025
• Schedule: M-F, 20-30 hours per week with slightly flexible hours (more hours may be available in the summer).
• Compensation: $11/hour.
